Recently, I attempted to update the Preview HTML to the most current version available, however, I am unable to perform the update. I'm very new to Notepad++ and would like to take advantage of utilizing this cool tool. Furthermore, I was also wondering if there was anyway that I can use the Preview HTML with Chrome, FireFox, or Safari. Your response will be greatly appreciated. Respectfully stating, tinus added on 2013-03-16 09:33:32: To install a different version of the PreviewHTML plugin, you have to download the zip file from the plugin page. Extract the zip file, and copy the file PreviewHTML.dll to the folder Notepad++\plugins. That's basically it. Replacing a plugin DLL will not work while Notepad++ is running; so you should exit the program before copying the DLL. Notepad++ only loads plugins on startup, so you need to restart it to use the updated plugin anyway. As for your other question: the plugin in its current form only supports Internet Explorer's viewer. I do have some (vague) plans to add a Chromium component, but that won't materialize anytime soon, I’m afraid. I just have too many other projects taking priority at the moment. |
